Dates and workdays — Excel Course
TODAY, NOW, DATE, YEAR, MONTH, DAY, EOMONTH and NETWORKDAYS. Learn it step by step with guided practice on Excelquro.
Understand
Excel dates are numeric values displayed through formats. That lets you subtract dates for elapsed days, use EOMONTH for period boundaries, WORKDAY for future working dates and NETWORKDAYS for working-day counts. DPD is a business rule based on due date and payment/today date, so define the rule before writing the formula.
Worked example
For L1001, Today minus Due Date is 14 days. MAX prevents an early or same-day account from becoming negative DPD.
=MAX(0,D2-B2)
